Oh College Days ! :)
The blog is about the different memories and experiences during my college days. I looked at the old pictures and suddenly missed those memories that I had with my friends. I want also to share my experiences that brought me happiness and fulfillment.

Start to build a relationship with God
Note: Everything written on this post was just my opinion.
"Religion does not matter, it's the relationship you build with God." that's what I learned from my Christian friend.
I was born and baptized at a catholic church. This is a traditional life. Sometimes, I go to church every Sunday 6 pm near in our house (1 tricycle ride).
So I decide to build a relationship with God.
Every Sunday I go to Christian Church and sa tuwing lalabas ako dun , palagi ako may natututunan about God and life.
Internship experience at Primer Group of Companies
Primer Group of Companies is a big retail and distribution company which handles world's top consumer brands and premium products. There are lot of companies inside such as Uniglobe Travelware Co. Inc., (UTCI), Philgear International Inc. (PGII), Kenrich International Distributor Corp and many more.
I was assigned to PGII and I mainly handled Ellesse Italia brand. Ellesse Italia was founded by Leonardo Servadio in
1959 at Italy. Its products were focusing more on apparels and footwear. To know more about this brand, visit their website at www.ellesse.ph
Other brands of PGII were Sanuk, Supra, Tretorn, Boxfresh and Native.
What I really learned about Primer was to love your work. Yes ! Indeed it was boring to work in an office for at least 8 hours especially if you are not doing something. But if you really love what you are doing, you will feel enjoyment and 8 hours is just nothing for you. There was a time when I did nothing there so I really experience how boring to stay in an office without doing anything. Often, I went to different places in Manila for store visits, mystery shopping and events.
I learned also the importance of connection to a business. Tretorn was looking for a model of their footwear products and they preferred teenager and popular male artist from media networks. So, we had connection to GMA 7. Me and the marketing intern of Tretorn went to GMA 7 and gave the shoes to different female and male artist. We met a lot of actor and actress, singers and dancers. For awhile, I felt the ambiance of working in a media network; very busy but exciting.
Actually I really learned a lot from this company and it helped me to know myself more as a career person. Maybe I should consider this company if i look for a job since at least I know some of their way of doing business.
The Story of a Rockstar (from rags to riches)
We had a photowalk last semester (March 6, 2013). One of our project was to create a story (from rags to riches) of a rockstar. It's nice that there was an Advertising Photography subject since I really want to learn more about photography and be more creative in taking a shots. This event really used my creativity, my props and my passion just to create a story using 8 photo shots. We take shots in Paradizoo (for rags shots) and in Taal Vista, Hotel (for riches shot). Here are my final 8 shots (in sequence)..
So now, could you tell the story within this 8 photos? :)

Unilab Ideas Positive (UIP) 2012
Unilab Ideas Positive 2012 was my first and the best competition that I ever joined. Its purpose is to promote health and wellness in a community with the help of youth/students from different schools in the Philippines. I'm so proud that we were chosen as one of the top 12 teams nationwide. Being part of the top 12 team means that we were one of the best team with the best idea in order to help a certain community in the Philippines.
Before the implementation of our plan, Unilab Ideas Positive conducted a 3-day boot camp for the Top 12 teams. It was one of the best experiences since all of us learned a lot from the different speakers which were related to marketing and advertising activities. Other than that, we made a lot of friends to other teams :)

During the implementation of our plan
The title of our project was Agos Ilog: Isang Panata para sa Malinis na Tubig. Our chosen community was Ulilang Lupa, Malagasang IIE, Imus, Cavite and we chose them since we had seen the main problem of the community which is the polluted river. We want to rehabilitate it with the help of us and our goal was to create Bayanihan Spirit within the community.
To solve those existing problems within the community, we conducted a lot of activities such as seminars, general cleaning, mini garden and our main project was the community trash can (alternative for bamboo trap since we cannot push it due to bad weather). Thanks to Imus Municipality, Malagasang IIE Barangay Officials, Samahan ng Ulilang Lupa and the residents for their cooperation and helped us to make our activities possible and successful.
After the implementation
We presented the results of our CSR plan to the judges of UIP competition. Although we did not win on the said competition, Unilab said "All Top 12 teams are winners and the real winners here in the competition was the Top 12 teams' chosen communities :)"
I learned a lot in this competition. It doesn't matter if we gave almost our free time to our chosen community, it doesn't matter if we win or lose, as long as we do our best and we just wanted to help for the good of the community.

Singapore-Malaysia Tour
Surprised.Enjoyment.Happiness.Excitement.

That's what murmuring on my mind after the tour. This was one of my unforgettable moments in life (cause it's my first time to ride in an airplane and to visit other countries). Although we paid a lot for this 5-day tour, I do not regret it. Let me share to you some of my memories and experiences in the said countries.
Of course, I was very excited so 3 days before the tour actually I prepared the things that I need :) (So overacting!) And I was like crazy counting the days before the tour comes. Before the day comes, I checked again my things and actually because of excitement, I just slept for 3-4 hours only. I woke up at 3:30am and went to school at 4:30am. We departed at school at exactly 7:30am and arrived at the NAIA Terminal 1 at 9:30am (not sure for the arrival time hehe).
The airlines used was Jetstar Asia Airways. We departed at NAIA Terminal 1 at exactly 10:35 am. At that time, I felt the excitement inside the airplane as I saw the top view of other countries.
Nice top view
We arrived at Singapore Airport at exactly 2:10pm. We met our kind and very helpful tourist guide.
Our first destination was to ate Late Lunch at some restaurant (I forgot the name of the restaurant).
My Friends :)
Wow Crab ! :D
I and my classmates were surprised that there was La Salle School in Singapore (La Salle College of the Arts).
Unfortunately, we did not able to go inside that school. After late lunch, we went to Merlion Landmark. Of course me and my friends did not miss the opportunity to take pictures. I felt relax and enjoyed as I have seen Merlion statue and the nice view.
Merlion Landmark Views
Our next stop was Marina Bay Sands Sky Park where we could see the amazing view of Singapore.
Wow ! we really could see almost the whole singapore as we went to that place.
After that, we went to Marina Light Show. There will be an amazing show created by Singapore. This show was very amazing, creative and unique. "Madalas tao mismo yung nsa show para magentertain but here it's different ! They use water to showcase everything. I have a video but I encouraged you to go there someday to witness the show.:)
That's the end of our Day 1 in Singapore. After that, we went to Value Hotel in Singapore. Nice facilities and nice staff. Meron nga doong Pilipino eh sa may front desk . :)
Day 2: We had our breakfast at 7:00am and prepared for the exciting tour for today ! UNIVERSAL STUDIOS and SENTOSA ISLAND TOUR. Oops ! I did not charge my SLR battery but I managed to have a lot of pictures in Universal Studios.
Universal Studio
We went to Sentosa Island to watch again a show entitles the Songs of the Sea. It was a very great and intense show since they use fire, water, a lot of props and manpower. :) "♫Singapura, Oh Singapura ♫!"
Sentosa Island Tour/Songs of the Sea
Actually the real purpose why we went there to Singapore was because of Lectures and Seminars conducted by Marketing Institute of Singapore and National Institute of Management.
We had attended seminar at Marketing Institute of Singapore and so proud to meet a speaker graduated from De La Salle as well.
After the seminar, we went to Johor Bahru, Malaysia which is the southernmost city of the Eurasian mainland. We traveled from Singapore to Malaysia I think 3-4 hours using only a bus. In my own observation, Malaysia is like Manila in the Philippines. According to the tourist guide, if you feel safe in Singapore because of low percentage of crime, in Malaysia, it's dangerous like in our country.
We went to Chocolate Galley, Jusco Mall and Firefly River Cruise. The best experience there were riding the cruise to witness the existence of fireflies. Some of my friends were not targeting the fireflies but it's the crocodiles. According to our Malaysian tourist guide there is crocodile in the river so it's better not to move a lot while inside the cruise. Thank God we were safe :) And came back to Singapore at 9:00pm.
Chocolate Galley : Different unique flavors of chocolates :)

Day 4 at Singapore
This day was a very busy day since we attended 2 seminars at The America Club (Prepared by Direct Marketing Association of Singapore) and lectures at National Institute of Management. But this is the best day that I ever had since it was my birthday at that time and I received a M&M chocolate from our tourist guide. I found it sweet and memorable :) All my classmates and friends greeted me.

After the seminar, we went to Chinatown (I was really excited to buy souvenirs and pasalubong!) and we went to Mustafa (the little India of Singapore) where you can buy affordable imported chocolates (yummy!) plus Bugis Street, a Divisoria type in Singapore, where you can buy a lot of affordable apparels and footwear.

Day 5: Check-out at Value Hotel of Singapore. Eat our lunch at a restaurant and wow surprised cake for September birthdays ! :D Thanks ! :D
A great gift for my birthday ! :D Overall it was indeed great to go to Singapore and I really want to go back there someday and study their culture more. Singapore was known as the fine city and I admire Singapore because of that since everybody were very disciplined. Singapore is a best example and I hope our country would be successful someday like them.
